3. 2016 Audi TT Roadster
The new Audi TT comes with many more technological features – both standard and optional and a much more agressive and beastly look to match its powerful engine. The 2016 TT has been modernized completely with a new platform and updated dimensions. This hatchback’s exterior is shorter and slimmer while the interior having a new seating arrangement and a revised cargo area.
This convertible’s exterior is shorter and slimmer than its predecessor and the acoustic folding roof folds up to speeds of 31 MPH. The TT comes in an array of colors including red, yellow, silver, and blue. The roof is generally black though Audi offer a custom color scheme if you so wish to avail of it. The wheels can be between 18.5-19.5″ twin spoke or 5 arm (the 18.5, 2-spoke) option coming as standard).
The driver’s seat in the Audi actually sits a little higher than most sports cars but this aids vision and allows the driver a clearer view of both the road and the area surrounding the car. The seat has 12-way power adjustment. You can choose the interior color and the decorative inlays you prefer to make the TT really unique to you, and to suit your own taste.
The new dashboard is condensed into a 12.5 “screen displayed directly in front of the driver – here they can access everything they need. There is the MMI touch which takes control of several vehicle systems including navigation, audio and phone functions and it can be coupled with the available Audi Connect system.
Engine/ Fuel Efficiency
The engine is a 4-cylinder turbocharged / TFSI with a horsepower of 220 and a top speed of 130 mph. It can accelerate from 0-60 in 5.6 seconds and the car is even efficient in winter conditions. Something that is uncommon to sports cars and therefore essentially unique to Audi. The EPA fuel efficiency rating for the TT is 23 city/ 20 highway MPG.
Available safety features include side assistance which helps with lane departure and surrounding traffic, and as standard features such as dual-stage airbags, ABS, electronic stability control and tire-pressure monitoring are included in all models.
