The all-new US flagship from Volkswagen has a sporty design unusual to the generic mid-size sedan category that it resides in. With a fresh and bold look, gesture features, and a massive cargo room, this masterclass from the company is here to stay.
The Volkswagen Arteon is a beast. It comes with fluid creases, flamboyant paint jobs, and no one can ignore the big bold chrome finish grill ascending from the body. Compared to its predecessor “CC”, this one is longer, sleeker, and more majestic from the exterior. It has 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels and sports projection beam headlights with 3 LED elements. It is the nuances that make this car different from the rest in its league. The chrome grill is smartly outlined by black accents. Additionally, the sunroof slides along the top because of its large dimensions.
Coming to the interior, the first thing to notice is the slightly softer feel to all the components, giving the 2019 Volkswagen Arteon a posh feel. It has five seats with a large trunk in the rear. This one has checked almost all the boxes in the equipment department; it features a Tri-zone temperature control, leather seats, and stylish pulsating indicators. A 9-inch touchscreen LCD display also comes with new gesture control to scroll simply by a wave of the hand.
In the safety department, the 2019 Volkswagen Arteon includes adaptive cruise control, overhead-view camera, and lane departure warning. Most of the safety features follow the essential ones seen in the Volkswagen line-up.
2019 Volkswagen Arteon has a ton of features, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also has a panoramic sunroof for a wider view. Not to mention, a power trunk that is digitally controlled. Heated front and ventilated back seats are designed to give occupants full control of comfort. Additionally, the 2019 sedan retained the KESSY access and push-button start option for convenience. It also included a 4Motion all-wheel drive option for increased traction.
The engine is where the new Arteon supersedes all competition. Sporting a 2L turbocharged TSI engine and 8-speed automatic transmission, this hound can produce 268 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. It has a bore of 92 mm and a stroke of 82 mm.
