The upgrade to the 2017 Volkswagen Golf R exterior totally changed its body from outside making it 2.4 inches longer and 1.2 inches wider–slightly extending its wheelbase–while shaving a few cms off its length.
Exterior:
It’s conventional appearance and standard exterior design touches around the bumpers, rooftop lines, and front grille indicates the utilitarianism. The Golf is available in 4 different colors (Black, White, Blue, Grey, and Tornado Red as shown below). 19″ Pretoria alloy wheels are standard on the Golf R while the exhaust system is exclusive to the Golf R.

Interior
The rear seats are 60/40 split folding, and the cargo space floor is also adjustable. There are heated front seats, a 12-way power adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support, and a panoramic power sunroof too. The leather covered steering wheel is sport style and is also manual tilt/ telescoping. Leather seating options are available.
Safety
The Golf R has been given 5 stars by the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration). It consists of 7 stability-enhancing features, active safety features as well as a strong safety box. There is an airbag occupancy sensor and dual stage driver and passenger airbags too.
Technology
The latest premium audio system and performance monitor have proved that this car is technologically advanced from the inside. There is a 6.5″ touchscreen with radio and CD capability, Bluetooth connectivity, and also 8-speakers. There’s keyless entry, and cruise control with steering wheel controls too.

Engine
The 2.0L TSI Turbocharged engine is standard and comes paired with a 6-speed DSG automatic w/ Tiptronic transmission. All wheel drive is also standard. The engine can produce 292 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. Fuel efficiency comes in at 23/30 city/highway or 25 MPG combined.
