What’s New?
With the popularity of the 2015 model there was really not much that needed to be changed with the Ram 1500 ecodiesel. The fuel economy is as excellent as its predecessor’s, its exterior is super commanding, and its still as luxurious and comfortable on the inside.
Exterior Features
Improved aerodynamics have the active air grille shutters to thank and help to cool the engine on all models. They automatically close to reduce any drag and they lend an air of power to the vehicle’s exterior. With the streamlined design, Ram gives you the utility of a truck as well as the efficiency and movement of a sports car. There is an option to add a cover to cargo area of the truck which will help to increase aerodynamics also. There are available premium automatic high-beam control headlamps which use a sensor to dim beams when it senses oncoming traffic. Available in black, white, red, silver and more, you have plenty of choice when personalizing your own Ram.

Engine/ Fuel Efficiency
The Ecodiesel engine is 3.0L V6 though this is optional. The standard engine is a 3.6L V6 24 valve VVT. An 8 speed automatic 845RE transmission comes as standard on all models. Fuel efficiency is great for a car of this size – 17 city/ 25 highway MPG according to the EPA fuel efficiency measurements. With a towing capability of up to 10,690 lb and 240 HP with the ecodiesel engine (or up to 395 with the optional 5.7L engine) this truck will get you places without costing you an arm and a leg!
