One of the most prominent changes to its interior is its dashboard; the dash has been carefully revamped from the old vertical center stack design into a curvaceous horizontal design. It also has an HTRAC All Wheel Drive system and 8-speed automatic transmission. The 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe is more passenger-friendly as it has more elbow and legroom with its 60/40 split second-row fold-flat seats; it also includes reclination and a center armrest.

One of the technological addition to the 2019 SUV is a 7-inch wide central touchscreen. It comes with the Android Auto which aids smartphone connectivity, as well as Apple CarPlay. It also has a wireless inductive charging pad which is Qi standard and an 8.5-inch head-up display that projects warnings onto the car’s windscreen. Other technological additions include the 630-watt 12-speaker Infinity Premium Audio and dual automatic climate control. The 2019 SUV comes with three powertrain options. It has the 2.2-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder engine creating 200 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque. This gas engine has clearly been upgraded and it is turbocharged 2.0-liter in line-out, which makes it an estimated 232 horsepower. The most notable change to its engine is that they have all been paired with the Hyundai’s new eight-speed automatic transmission.
