While you may not expect an SUV (or an affordable SUV at that) to come from MINI, the 2016 MINI Countryman will blow your expectations out of the water! It’s compact and nimble, so great for city driving, while it is simultaneously well able for more rugged roads – its suspension is brilliant!
Exterior Features
The Countryman looks like your typical MINI, though a lot more on the muscular side. It comes in 9 different colors including Jungle Green and Kite Blue. It also comes with a contrasting black roof and mirrors. It’s a 4-door small car that commands attention on the road!

Interior Features
The cabin is customizable in terms of coloring, and features; there is ambient lighting, and also race inspired toggle switches. There is a rounded touch screen display in the center console with controls for audio etc too. The cargo area is surprisingly spacious with 16.5 cubic feet while all seats are upright! This extends to 42.2 cubic feet with the rear seats are folded.
Technology
There are 6 speakers with Bluetooth wireless data link for hands-free,USB connections, and other packages you can choose from if you wish to improve your entertainment system.
Engine/ Fuel Efficiency
The 1.6L engine is common across all trims of the Countryman; it is 16 valve, 4-cylinder turbocharged. The horsepower of the base model is 121 though by upgrading to the top trim level (the John Cooper Works All4 – we know it’s a mouthfull!) you can drive on 208 horsepower! The 6-speed manual transmission is standard though you can opt for the 6-speed automatic if you prefer.
