Formerly known as the Infiniti EX37, the V6-powered QX50 Infiniti model is the most affordable SUV in the Infiniti’s lineup. It is also among the best SUVs for several reasons. Firstly, it has powerful engine. Secondly, it comes with a host of standard equipment that the rest of the range isn’t so generous with.
The new longer length has actually worked for the QX50, proportionately at least. There is a revised grille at the front, and also new taillights. The SUV comes in 7 different colors including a midnight garnet, hagane blue, and majestic white. There is a dual exhaust with polished finishers.
Speed sensitive power steering is active on the tilt/ telescopic steering wheel; the shift knob is leather wrapped and the general upholstery is also leather. The feel in the cabin is super luxurious and spacious. That lengthening on the exterior frame has awarded the 2016 model 8.3 additional cubic feet of space.
There is an option for an Around View Monitor which uses 4 cameras placed around the exterior of the car for a 360′ view of your surroundings. You can also choose to opt for the Infiniti Navigation System which uses voice recognition and real time traffic information. There is Bluetooth Hands-free phone system as standard, along with Infiniti Itelligent Key.
Engine/ Fuel Efficiency
The standard 3.7-liters V6 engine generates 325 horsepower although it has good fuel economy ratings of around 17 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the hwy. The transmission is electronically controlled 7-speed automatic with adaptive shift control as standard.
The airbag system includes dual-stage front supplemental air bags, driver and front passenger side impact, and roof mounted curtain. The zone body construction is reinforced, and there is anti-lock braking system as standard too. You can opt for features such as blind spot monitoring, and intelligent brake assist!
