Engine/ Fuel Efficiency
The Fusion now comes with a 2.0-liter iVCT Atkinson cycle Inline 4 engine and the electric motor which will combine to generate 200 HP. A constantly variable transmission (an automatic transmission) is standard, and a 6-speed automatic is readily available on the Fusion Hybrid SE models. The Fusion Hybrid receives an EPA-approximated 43/41 MPG city/highway that’s great for a midsize vehicle and among the greatest ratings for a midsize hybrid.
Safety features on the Fusion are very extensive. The car uses 8 airbags and the standard set of electronic safety equipment, including, traction and stability control, and anti-lock brakes. Also, emergency brake assistance is typical on all Fusions as is an electronic parking brake.
