What’s New?
After a five year long sting, this iconic muscle convertible car is back for 2016. With the massive improvements undertaken in its styling and performance features, the 2016 Ford Mustang could be one of the most extravagant convertibles ever made. It has new engine capabilities with better features and overall performance compared to its predecessor.
Exterior Features
The Mustang has always attracted attention and Ford know that there is little they can do to improve the overall appearance – as standard, the 2016 Mustang comes with automatic headlamps, blade decklid spoiler, dual bright exhaust with rolled polished tips, and HID headlamps with signature lighting. The Mustang boasts an extremely smooth ride with its 18″ magnetic gloss aluminium wheels (there are bigger- up to 20′ wheels – as optional). There is an optional addition of a decklid spoiler delete.
Interior Features
The Mustang has heated, leather trimmed bucket seats that are 6-way power adjustable. A cabin air filter, a center console with full armrest, push button start, a leather wrapped brake handle, a leather wrapped steering wheel with both speed and audio controls and all of these features are as standard. You can even add memory-foam driver’s seat and memory mirrors!
Technology
As standard, the Mustang comes fitted with SYNC 3 – an infotainment system that has many optional additions. 9 speaker sound system with amplifier, ambient lighting, two smart-charging USB ports, and dual-zone electronic temperature control.
Optional features include adaptive cruise control with collision warning and rain sensing wipers, remote start system (though this comes as standard with the automatic transmission), voice-activated navigation system, blind spot information system and cross traffic alert.
Engine/ Fuel Efficiency
With a 5 liter Ti-VCT V8 engine that runs a 435 horsepower as well as a combined MPG of 19, the engine certainly packs a punch. It can reach up to 155 MPH and hits 60 MPH is just 6.5 seconds. There is a 6-speed manual transmission as standard though an automatic 6-speed transmission is also available.

Safety
There’s an SOS post-crash alert system, rear-view camera, front seat airbags and lower anchors for children. The Mustang safety features have definitely been improved since the previous model and every safety feature comes as standard.
