The 2017 Dodge Journey splits the difference between a minivan and an SUV. It is one of the lowest priced 7-seater family vehicles on the market.
Exterior Features
The Journey comes in ten available colors. It also has a very distinguishable crosshair grille which you can decide to flank with either the standard headlights or black headlamp bezels. Dodge also added sculpted fender flares and if you like you can opt for dual bright exhaust tips.

Interior Features
It features a very smart storage system that can see you pack extremely large loads of stuff into your Journey. There is a cargo area in the floor where you can fit shoes, tennis rackets etc., there’s fold-flat seats, a cooler in the floor to keep your drinks cold and there is also storage space in the front passenger seat. If you fold the seats down, you will get 67 cubic feet of cargo space in total. You can also opt for heated front-seats and a heated steering wheel and soft-touch materials.
Technology
The Journey features integrated Garmin Navigation systems on the 8.4” touchscreen on the dashboard. The same dashboard also features applications for weather, movies, sports, fuel prices and also rear-seat entertainment.
Engine/ Fuel Efficiency
The 2017 Dodge Journey comes with a standard 2.4l I4 engine with 173 hp. You can opt for the bigger 3.6L V6 engine that has 283 hp, 260lb of torque and a fairly decent highway mileage of 25MPG. The 2.4l engine has the same MPG rating at 25/ highway and 21 MPG combined. A 4-speed automatic VLP transmission is standard with the 2017 Journey too.

Safety
The safety features on the Journey include a protective frame, and active front seat head restraints. There are seven advanced airbags and crumple zones that absorb and disperse the energy form a potential collision too.
