The now discontinued Honda Fit EV had not gone through any recent changes in its most recent model. The ever lowering price of a car no longer in production is sure to attract some eyes to the vehicle. Though it is no longer is production, it is still a car worth leasing or buying as used. It is quite small but rather spacious and is an ideal urban electric vehicle. Plus, the car not only offers quick charging but also delivers a much faster acceleration unlike the Nissan Leaf.

Exterior Features

Firstly, the Honda FIT EV has body colored door handles, rear roofline spoiler, folding power side wipers and impact-absorbing bumpers. Secondly, the headlights are projector halogens with blue-tint chrome housings. Most notably, the battery-charging door lights up for easy charging at night.

Interior Features

The interior in the FIT comes in gray and black only. The seats are heated reclining seats that are trimmed with bio-fabric. The rear seat drops down in a 60/40 split. The audio system has MP3, auxiliary, USB and CD capabilities and plays through 6 speakers. Also, the controls on the dash control climate, battery indicator, battery level, and interior temperature.

Technology

This Honda uses a lithium-ion battery that takes about 3 hours to charge. In fact, you can even use your mobile device to read the Honda Telematics. Additionally, there are cruise control and media controls on the leather steering wheel, which you all have back-lights for nighttime use.

Engine/ Fuel Efficiency

The electric motor runs off of a lithium-ion battery and powers the car at 100 horsepower (123 in sport mode). The car also has 189 lb. –ft. of torque. Especially relevant, this vehicle hits 0-60 MPH in 8.7 seconds. Finally, the motors EPA fuel efficiency ranges from 105-132 MPG.
