What’s New?

The new 2016 Kia Sorento, a midsize crossover, has been regarded as one of the top family vehicles for the price, it has a powerful appearance and a great performing powertrain for the price. The 2016 model has been fully redesigned.

Exterior Design

As one of the best looking SUV in its class, the 2016 KIA Sorento sports a classic tiger nose grille and a blunt nose which gives the vehicle an exceptional look. The added length plays a key role in reducing the ‘stubbiness’ of the vehicle, therefore making the vehicle look more urban and sleek. The LX and Base model features 17″ alloy wheels while the EX gets 18″ alloy wheels. The additional chrome trim and the LED fog lights give this SUV a convincingly upscale look too.

Interior Design and Technology

Available in two main configurations, the 2016 KIA Sorento has been engineered with a 3 mode driver setting, cruise control, stain resistant cloth upholstery, Bluetooth audio and phone connectivity and also a tilt and telescoping steering wheel. The LX trim level features a 4.3″ touch screen interface and UvoeServices. A convenience package is available too and features an 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat, leather wrapped steering wheel and heated front seats. The SX model features an upgraded leather upholstery, heated second row outboard seats and ventilated front seats.

Engine and Fuel Economy

The 2016 KIA Sorento sports a 2.4l 4-cylinder engine which delivers an estimated 185hp and 178 lb-ft of torque. A 6 speed automatic transmission system is standard together with a front wheel drive. The SX and EX have been engineered with a 3.6l 4-cylinder engine which produces 240hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. The EPA fuel economy for the base model is estimated at 24 mpg combined i.e. 21 city and 29 highway.
