Exterior

The 2014 Infiniti Q50 sits wide and low, making for a comfortable, smooth ride. The double-arch front grille is one of the most prominent features, while LED lights make up the front, fog, daytime and rear lights. There are standard 17″ wheels, however. Optional 19″ rims though really accentuate the Q50’s identity as a luxurious sedan with sport-car style. The optional AroundView monitor provides cameras in the grille, side mirrors and at the rear of the vehicle, giving drivers a 360-degree view.

Interior/ Technology

The standard Infiniti Q50 comes equipped with leatherette seating surfaces and intelligent key entry and push button start. There’s a 6-speaker audio system, in addition to dual LCD touch-screen panels for multiple functions throughout the vehicle. The fully-loaded model comes with full leather upholstery, and power tilt/telescopic steering wheel. There is also a 14-speaker Studio on Wheels audio system, and adaptive front lighting.

Engine

The 2014 Infiniti Q50’s aluminum, 360 hp, 3.7-liter V6 engine makes use of dual overhead camshafts (DOHC) and an advanced variable valve timing/lift system, smartly made to produce optimal power without hindering the vehicle’s fuel efficiency. The Hybrid version runs on an older but still very powerful 3.5-liter V6 paired with an electric motor and 50kw lithium-ion battery pack. Both models come with a 7-speed automatic with rev matching and manual shift mode.
