The Hyundai model features a lightweight aluminium body which offers incredible mileage at a low cost. However, the 4-cylinder engine that is turbocharged generates 175 horsepower while reducing the intake of fuel. As a result of the same, the all-wheel-drive edition of the 2016 Tucson Eco gets 27 miles per gallon similar to the premium versions of front-wheel-drive. There is even a 10-year/ 100,000-mile warranty for the powertrain. This Hyundai is one of the best 2016 models with great fuel efficiency.

Exterior Features

The new compact SUV boasts impressive 19″ full alloy wheels, with a 245/45 HR 19 tire spec, and a cool gas-pressured shock absorbers on both the front and rear tires. It comes with a wide array of extra features including chrome finish on the door handles, roof rack and the side sills to compliment the packed alloy wheels, giving it a nice executive figure. The curvy electric side mirrors with signal indicators, and it has a standard center high-mount Stop Light, front fog lights and optional halogen or HID Xenon headlights and LED taillights.

Interior Features

Power door locks, standard front floor mats, power mirrors and an adjustable steering wheel. Automatic climate control and optional remote trunk release. Optional features also include leather seats – in either black or beige, with a 6-way adjustable driver’s seat that comes optionally as 8-way powered, as well as optional ventilated and heated front seats! There is extra space in the back and the Tuscon boasts more leg room than the Honda CR-V or the Nissan Rogue, both of which are leaders in SUV popularity!

Engine / Fuel Efficiency

This new gem from Hyundai is available in front wheel, and four wheel drive options. The sturdy crossover sports a 1.6L, 4 cylinder DOHC 16 valve w/ D-CVVT engine, Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) fuel system, with a compression ratio of 10.1:1, which churns out 175 horsepower, and pumps 195 lb-ft of torque at 1500-4500 rpm. The small engine is very economical giving 26/33/29 mpg. It has a 7-speed EcoShift dual clutch transmission.

Technology and Safety Features

Standard features include; child safety locks, passenger and driver air bags. There’s also electronic stability and traction control system, and Antilock Braking System. Rear parking sensors, fog lights, LED daytime running lights, premium front and rear fascias and cruise control come as standard too. There is a Bluetooth hands-free phone system, and a 5″ color touchscreen audio as standard in the Eco model.
