What’s New?

The 2016 Honda Pilot has undergone a series of changes, which makes it one of the strongest contender in the 3 row crossover class. Even after Honda, Japan’s leading car manufacturer unveiled the 3rd generation of Honda Pilot last year at the Chicago Auto Show, its engineers won’t rest, they are already working on a 2017 model. This three-row station wagon with a seating capacity of eight passengers is standard in FWD and also available with AWD configurations.

Exterior Design

As a 3 row crossover SUV, the 2016 Honda Pilot is offered in EX, LX and EX-L trim levels. The standard features include 18″ alloy wheels and rear glass privacy. On the EX model, fog lights, automatic headlights and heated mirrors come as standard. The EX-L trim level is engineered with a power tailgate and a sunroof.

Interior Design and Technology

The 2016 Honda Pilot happens to have the most versatile interior. The interior has several handy bins together with numerous cup holders. A special feature has been included in the second row seats that allows the seats to slide and tilt forward with just the press of a button. This feature reduces the strength and effort which is required to move the seat forward.

Engine and Fuel Efficiency

All the trim levels under this model are engineered with a 3.5l v6 engine which has the ability of delivering an estimated 280 horsepower and 262 pound per feet of torque. The front wheel drive is standard for all the trim levels but there is the option of all-wheel drive too. With that said, the EPA fuel economy estimates for the 2016 Honda pilot is 22 mpg combined i.e. 19 city and 27 highway. The Pilot comes as standard with front wheel drive and also a 6-speed automatic transmission.
