The GMC Terrain is General Motors’ answer to the increase in SUV and Crossover popularity. It has a very macho stance with one of the trims (Nightfall) coming equipped with a blacked-out grille, black wheels, and also black rear and front fascias. Though it only seats 5 people, the 2017 GMC Terrain is actually pretty spacious.


The Terrain has both front and rear fascias with chrome highlights, a featured 3 bar grille design, LED daytime running lamps, and an overall look that scream GMC. It has fender flares, projector beam headlights, and also a stance that gives the driver a good view of the road. It also comes with 18” wheels as standard on the SLE and SLT versions.

The standard SLE model comes with premium cloth interiors and a chrome-trimmed gear selector. There is also an abundance of space as well as available leather seat extras. The multiflex rear seat system maximizes the comfort and utility of the Terrain. There’s a 7″ touchscreen to run the standard infotainment system. The front seats are bucket style for incredible comfort and there is a lot of rear passenger or cargo space if needs be.


In terms of technology there is a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, and Color Touch Radio. There’s also available heated seats, ambient lighting, Pioneer premium audio offered as extras. The Color Touch Radio comes with Intellilink that has a customizable home screen, voice activated controls, USB sockets and Bluetooth audio streaming too.


The source of the Terrain’s performance and power is the 2.4L I4 Gas/ Ethanol engine. It gives you 182 hp and an acceleration from stand-still of 0 to 60 in 9 seconds. The EPA fuel rating is 21/ city and 31/ highway mpg. The 3.6L FWD powertrain (which is available) is estimated to give you 24 MPG on the highway and it comes with dual integrated exhaust tips for improved airflow. It also has a 301 horsepower ability.

Some of the safety features include blind zone alert and rear traffic cross alert systems to keep the passengers safe. There is also a lane departure warning system, a forward collision alert system and a 3-month trial with OnStar.
