What’s New?

The Impala heads into 2017 with some minimal changes to the availability and naming of its trim levels, but ultimately, it remains unchanged.

Exterior Features

No longer a wallflower sitting on the rental lots, this latest-generation full-size sedan is remarkable. Its taut metal sheet hides its 201.3-inch length very well without looking over-the-top.

Even the grille – an element which gapes on several other cars – is well-proportioned. The long and strong hood leads into a decently swept back roof and swept windshield, while the sides gently flex with the creases running just below the car windows.

The trunk lid seems short but hides sufficient space inside. The sizes of wheel range from 18″ on mid-trim LT and base LS models, while Premier Impalas ride on 19″, with 20″s as optional.

Interior Features

The rebirth of Chevy’s largest sedan brought with it a spacious interior which is even more appreciated than its sharp suit. This is very true in the mid-level LT and the top-line Premier trims, the latter with the perforated leather seats (base models have mid-grade mixed cloth, premium cloth, and the Leatherette).

This five-passenger sedan has roomy legroom even for the rear-seat passengers. And Chevy deserves credit for its supportive front seating and easy-to-reach knobs and buttons to control climate and audio functions, in addition to the eight” touchscreen display found in the LT and the Premier grades. At 18.8 cubic feet, the trunk of the 2017 Impala is pretty large.

Impala provides support for Apple CarPlay, a smarter way to access your iPhone features to get directions with Apple Maps, listen to Apple Music, call friends and much more.

Whether you are looking for a cafe, where to catch a show or even something more off the beaten path, Impala makes it very easy with available inbuilt 4G LTE Wi-Fi. You can connect up to 7 devices and get a connection more strong than your smartphone.

Engine/ Fuel Efficiency

The new 2017 Chevrolet Impala has new features to provide us when it comes to the additions under the hood. First of all, a 3.6L V-6 engine now makes a comeback and can produce up to 303-hp.

There are other engines available, namely the 2.5L 4-cylinder which produces 195-hp. There’s also a 2.4L engine that produces 182-hp. Each engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, and all of them have direct fuel injection. The 4-cylinder Impala has an EPA rating of 22 mpg city/31 highway, while the V6 versions get 19/28.

Available safety features and the improved technologies work together to offer you driving confidence sides, back, and front. Other safety features include Available Side Blind Zone Alert and Available Forward Collision Alert. The 2017 Impala also received a 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score for safety from the NHTSA.
