An eight-inch touchscreen, formerly provided in high- and mid-trim Suburbans only, is currently standard and includes AppleCarPlay smartphone integration. The optional Driver Alert package comes with automatic headlights and a lane-departure intervention feature, and LTZ models earn an optional color head-up screen.
Exterior Features
The 2016 Chevrolet Suburban features a commanding exterior with many convenience features. Roof-mounted luggage rack side-rails are standard on each model and include chrome-trim on the LTZ. The optional Black roof-rack cross rails can be added to aid as a base mount for the cargo management accessories.

Interior Features
Standard features in the 2016 Suburban include a 6-speaker audio system, tri-zone automatic climate-control, rear parking sensors, remote start, the rearview camera and MyLink infotainment system of Chevrolet with an eight-inch touch screen, Bluetooth, HD Radio, 5 USB ports and the Apple CarPlay.
The Suburban also features an integrated Wi-Fi hot spot and OnStar with the 4G LTE (subscription needed). Optional Features include a ten-speaker Bose surround-sound system, the power sunroof, as well as navigation. There is also a dual-screen rear-seat entertainment system, head-up display, a wireless smartphone charging pad, and adaptive cruise control.
Technology
Available features include an 8″ LCD touchscreen radio with the Chevy MyLink connectivity, and also a Blu-ray DVD entertainment system to keep the kids entertained. There is also keyless ignition, a head-up display, the power tailgate, up to 6 USB ports, a cargo-management system, and 6 power outlets,
Engine/ Fuel Efficiency
The 2016 Chevy Suburban is driven by a 5.3L V8 engine along with a six-speed automatic transmission. It has a capacity of an incredible 355 hp. According to the EPA, the Suburban earns up to 16/23 MPG city/highway whichis average for the class. The Suburban boasts an optimum towing capacity of 8,300 pounds, according to Chevrolet.

Safety
The Suburban has a complete complement of airbags, including full-length side-curtain, side-impact, and front-seat airbags as standard. Also, the standard is the only front seat center-mounted airbag of the segment (for models with the bucket seats only) that offers greater protection to the passenger and driver in the case of the side-impact collision. There is also lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, front-parking sensors and a forward collision warning with automatic braking.
