As an all new mode, the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V comes with a supercharged v8 engine which delivers an astounding 640 horsepower. The 2016 model comes with an improved steering wheel and its new more powerful stance is as a result of the stiffer body structure.
Exterior Design
Apart from being a sharp looking car, the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V sports a rippled hood, creased fenders and a prominent grille which makes the vehicle stand out from its competitors. Specific details range from the pragmatic grille shutters which close so as to improve aerodynamics to the pretty seamless aluminum trim on the side of the windows. At the rear end, the 2016 mode sports incredible dual exhaust outlets.
The 2016 model boasts of a style rich and feature packed interior, assembly quality and first rate materials. The leather upholstery and soft padding create a rather inviting ambiance. The rear seats are beautifully crafted, but when you compare the interior of the European Cadillac CTS-V with the US version, there is a lot more space. The CUE infotainment system which has not only been contrived with a much faster processor but also an improved interface is set into the center of the dashboard.
Engine and fuel economy
The supercharged 6.2l V8 engine finally makes its return. This supercharged engine delivers an estimated 640 horsepower and 630 pound per feet of torque. Also standard is an 8 speed automatic transmission which comes with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. The system has a total of 4 drive modes, Sport, Snow, Tour and Track. The new CTS-V’s engine comes with an EPA fuel economy of 17 mpg combined i.e. 14 city and 21 highway.
The 2016 Cadillac CTS-V sedan comes with traction and stability control, and antilock disc brakes. Front passenger knee bag, full length side curtain airbags and rear side airbags are all standard too. Other standard features include front and rear parking sensors, head-up display, a rear and front curb view camera. Active safety systems which are offered as standard in the vehicle include blind spot monitoring, forward collision alert, lane departure warning and rear cross traffic alert.
